New speech recognition powered assistant SILVIA Comes to Android

Here is another voice assistant for Android using speech recognition and text to speech technology....

SILVIA

SILVIA for Android interacts with your phone’s applications for you, based on your conversations, making your mobile life easier than ever before.

Cognitive Code Corporation’s, SILVIA (Symbolically Isolated, Linguistically Variable, Intelligence Algorithms) will soon be available for Android.  Similar to Apple’s Siri, SILVIA interprets and responds to users’ verbal commands, virtually eliminating the need for keypad input and navigation of complex interfaces.  For even greater ease, SILVIA allows people to communicate with computers and mobile devices using everyday language without having to learn commands.

Inspired by “2001: A Space Odyssey” Cognitive Code CEO and SILVIA creator, Leslie Spring, also allowed the product to have human-like conversational interactions.  Developers describe the artificial intelligence technology as “less like the computer from STAR TREK® and more like Jarvis from Iron Man™”.

SILVIA app is compatible with most operating systems and the hardware-independent SILVIA Core can be used for various applications, including call centers, talking toys, medical applications, and more.  Spring explains that he intended for the product to be versatile, practical and popular:

“Our goal has always been to put SILVIA into people’s hands on their mobile devices. Because of advances in mobile technologies and operating systems, we are at an important crossroad, where the power and ubiquity of Android-enabled devices gives us the ability to deliver an engaging and rewarding SILVIA experience to Android users. We are also excited about this opportunity to involve the community of Android users and Android developers in our product development process.”

Cognitive Code is now accepting pre-orders for SILVIA for Android application and the SILVIA for Android SDK (Software Developer Kit) through Kickstarter.  Both products become available worldwide December 2012.
