Microsoft IT/Services Chooses Gold Systems Vonetix 7 voice platform

Microsoft uses third-party voice platform which is powered by Microsoft speech recognition and text-to-speech technology.

BOULDER – Gold Systems announced today that Microsoft IT/Services has chosen Vonetix 7 Voice as its next generation platform for developing and hosting voice self-service applications.  Gold Systems CEO, Terry Gold, said “We have been working for Microsoft IT/Services, the internal organization supporting Microsoft departments, for many years creating software that makes it easier for Microsoft customers, partners and employees to get support just by calling 1-800-Microsoft  and other special numbers like 1-800-4MY-XBOX.”

Beginning in 2004, Gold Systems was one of the first Microsoft Gold Certified partners to work on the original Microsoft Speech Server platform.  “Using the considerable expertise we obtained working in that market, we have applied that knowledge to create a modern voice self-service product that integrates fully with Microsoft Lync,” noted Gold.  “Microsoft IT/Services has been a great customer and a pleasure to work with over the years and we are thrilled that the Microsoft IT/Services team has decided to implement Vonetix 7 Voice.” he added.

About Vonetix 7 Voice

Vonetix 7 Voice is a software product developed by Gold Systems that uses speech recognition to better serve callers who are using automated self-service applications.  Vonetix 7 Voice allows organizations to put in place a foundation of technologies that can be leveraged, at the right time, to integrate Microsoft Unified Communication capabilities.  Vonetix 7 Voice, being based on Microsoft’s Unified Communications Managed API technologies, provides a direct, easy to use, and flexible tie-in with current and future Microsoft Unified Communications capabilities.  Microsoft IT/Services’ current telephone self-service system runs applications written by Gold Systems on Microsoft’s own platform, Microsoft Speech Server.  The 1-800-4MY-XBOX application is the first being migrated from the Microsoft Speech Server to the Gold Systems Vonetix 7 Voice product.

Vonetix 7 Voice is a platform that can flex to meet future needs such as multi-modal communications including Instant Messaging, web chat and video conferencing, as well as improving the experience and efficiency of agents by leveraging Microsoft Lync for CTI/Screen-Pop capabilities as calls are transitioned from the IVR to the contact center.

Vonetix 7 Voice lays the groundwork for applications that handle voice calls today and that grow with their customers to do considerably more.

Some of the key benefits to Vonetix 7 Voice are:

- Lower Total Cost of Ownership with speech recognition and text-to-speech licenses included – V7V is an innovative, cost-effective design, development and deployment environment.  Gold Systems uses Microsoft speech engines, which means no extra costs or high maintenance fees for third party speech or text-to-speech engines.

- Works with Microsoft Lync – Vonetix 7 Voice applications can run on their own server using just the Microsoft speech engine, or they can work with Microsoft Lync to add Unified Communications features to IVR applications, getting even more value out of Lync and providing better customer service.

- Highly Scalable & High Performance — Vonetix 7 Voice provides the tools and implementation methodologies that allow us to achieve significant performance benefits now and in the future.
